I've been watching early silent films from the rugged northern reaches of Europe. Taking a chance on Victor Sjostrom's A Man There Was got me interested, then seeing Sjostrom's A Thief and His Wife got me hooked. Watching Phantom Carriage blew me away.
A Healing Journey
I recently took a break from routine and drove over to the coast for a few days. It was an important time....the first trip I had taken on my own in several years; and more importantly, the first road journey since my wife passed away in the Fall.
